Serving Livermore Since 2015

For more than a decade, dogs and cats in Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin have had a full-service veterinary team right in the Tri-Valley. PetCura Animal Hospital opened on Holmes Street in 2015 with a clear goal: to bring comprehensive, technology-supported care to local pets and give their owners the access and transparency they deserve. We are open seven days a week, including evenings, because pet health concerns do not follow a nine-to-five schedule.

Our Story

PetCura Animal Hospital opened in Livermore in 2015 with a vision to offer modern veterinary care supported by advanced in-clinic technology. From the beginning, the goal was to give pet owners in the Livermore area access to diagnostics, surgery, dental care, and urgent care under one roof, without the need to travel to a specialist center for routine and intermediate-level cases. In the years since, the clinic has grown to serve thousands of dogs and cats across Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, and the wider Tri-Valley area.

What has stayed constant is the belief that knowing your patient matters as much as the tools you use to care for them. Every visit, from a first wellness exam for a new puppy to a same-day urgent care appointment for an unexpected illness, is approached the same way: with time, clear communication, and the same standard of care we would want for our own animals. We are proud to have built lasting relationships with the families who have trusted us with their pets year after year.

Our Philosophy

We believe that strong veterinary care starts with listening. Every pet is an individual, and every family brings their own knowledge of their animal that no chart can fully capture. Before we examine, we ask. Before we recommend, we explain. Our goal is for every client to leave with a clear understanding of their pet’s health and a care plan that makes sense for their specific situation.

We invest in in-house diagnostic tools, including on-site bloodwork, digital radiography, and ultrasound, because faster answers lead to faster help. And we stay current with advances in veterinary medicine through continuing education, so the care we provide reflects where the field stands today, not where it stood a decade ago. Serving Livermore and the surrounding Pleasanton and Dublin communities, we are committed to being the kind of veterinary team families can count on at every stage of their pet’s life.
